Foothills Entertainment was founded in 1985 when Byron Berkley moved to the East Texas area and re-opened the then closed Circle Plaza
Cinema in Henderson. Having worked for both United Artists Theatres and General Cinema Corporation for many years, Berkley's goal
was to bring the same amenities and professionalism to small town theatres that were usually found only in theatres in larger
cities.
Over the ensuing years, the company went on to acquire theatres in other Texas towns like Kilgore, Beaumont, Orange, Texarkana, Ft.
Worth, Jacksonville, Bay City, Carthage, Borger and Mineral Wells to name a few. Today the company operates 6 first run theatres
comprising a total of 23 screens. Each of these "hometown" theatres offers comfortable accommodations, state of the art projection and sound,
friendly staffs and a clean and safe environment for the moviegoer.
